Multi-Sensor Cameras

The multi-sensor camera can be equipped with up to four pixel-synchronous sensors. The CMOS sensors with global shutter are connected to the central unit by a flex-foil-cable with LVDS transmission and can be freely positioned. The image data is coordinated on a FPGA module with at least 256 MB RAM. The multi-sensor camera can produce pixel-synchronous images from several positions, as required for 3D reconstruction, for example. Light-section-, Gray-code- and phase shift processes can even be applied to moving objects when using the multi-sensor camera.

For applications with tight or angled installation space VRmagic offers cameras with remote and freely position able sensors. The sensor is connected to the main unit by an up to 50 cm long flex-foil-cable with LVDS transmission.

The same API for all Models from VRmagic
The free Software Development Kit contains an API that works with all models from VRmagic. The Self Describing Interface allows for generic code development - an exchange of the camera model later on is thus possible without additional programming. The provided user interface allows access to all camera parameters. Demo-functions and free sourcecode of several developing platforms are included.

Intelligent Components by VRmagic run fully autonomously on a Linux operating system. Image processing tasks − such as decisions on position, completeness or quality − are performed directly in the camera. Developers can transfer their own algorithms to the camera conveniently by means of a cross-compiler. Host system and camera have the same API.
Intelligent components feature a 300 MHz ARM9 processor running Debian Linux as standard operating system and a 600 MHz DSP with 4800 MIPs. The components are equipped with 128 MB RAM and a 512 MB flash module – both can be extended. A high level of data security is guaranteed by a stable and fast file system (UBIFS).

CheckSight® smart cameras are a combination of a high quality industrial camera and a PC running Windows XP or Linux in one rigid cabinet. The camera is available with Leutron Visions complete selection of CCD and CMOS sensors, with resolutions from VGA to 5 Mpixel. It offers one Gigabit Ethernet and 3 USB2.0 interfaces, as well as a DVI-D interface and audio I/O for connecting peripherials, a monitor, speakers and microphone. The CheckSight® PC Camera is fully GenICam/GenTL compliant and can be used with all major image processing librares which act as GenTL consumer such as Halcon, Common Vision Blox and more. The CheckSight® PC Camera comes with Leutron Vision's new Simplon image acquisition software, featuring a fully GenICam/GenTL compliant producer and an image acquisition API including a comprehensive set of Rapid Application Development tools. Simplon is currently available under Windows and Linux, other OS support is under development.

With PicSight Smart Leutron Vision offers the possibility to program a C/C++ based application directly on the cameras RISC processor. For this purpose the PicSight Smart Camera Family is avalaible as an extension of PicSight GigE. OEMs may produce their own low cost vision system reusing their image processing expertise. If you own image processing routines written in C or C++, PicSight Smart offers a great oportunity to use your previous made investment again on a new plattform avoiding the cost of the PC.
PicSight-Smart works standalone for autonomous computing with the possibility to provide information on video monitor, serial interface, digital I/O or Ethernet network. When controlled with a PC, the PicSight®-Smart camera preprocesses the information and can provide results in image form or data stream and messages, and also allows for output on video monitor, serial interface, digital I/O communication.
PicSight-Smart versatility makes it the ideal solution for vision applications in many industries (semiconductor, industrial, pharmaceutical, defense, surveillance...).
Development is done in ANSI C/C++, so you can integrate existing code developed for other platforms. For your image processing routines, you can use MVTec's famous Halcon Embedded or OpenCV, which offers more than 400 different 2D and 3D functions and is available as free software without paying license fees.
Usually using an embedded system means remote access and usually difficult testing/debugging, but not with PicSight®-Smart because there are extensive comunication tools that provide for exchange of customized commands, fast messaging for logging (message dump) and data streaming.
It is easy to get information from the camera and thus ensure proper maintenance/testing/debugging.
